About
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, where I was honored with the Faculty Prize for best Ph.D. Thesis in Theoretical Sciences. I currently work as Senior Data Scientist at Viasuisse AG in Biel, Switzerland. Prior to my current role, I served as a lecturer and researcher at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL University). I currently teache as well at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland).
My professional interests span a wide array of topics, including big data, machine learning, smart cities and logistics, fuzzy logic, recommender systems, and software engineering.
Outside of work, I’m an avid enthusiast of jogging, hiking, anime, and videogames. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, often persuading them to join me for a run and share a few refreshing beers.
